The office will be closed from July 18th – August 18th, 2008 as I’m headed home to Denmark to visit friends and family.

My office will be closed from April 1st to April 14th, but I will be checking my emails whenever possible.

I’m happy to announce that I’m a new member of the Designers Accord a coalition of design and innovation firms focused on working together to create positive environmental and social impact.

“This movement started as a call to arms for designers to engage in the environmental movement with optimism and creativity. We believe it is our obligation to use our knowledge, experience, and reach to positively influence what we design and consume.”

Gere Donovan Creative pulls home yet another handful of awards for the team! Last night the The Alaska Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America held the yearly award show at the Snow Goose Restaurant. The entries are sent to Seattle for judging.

It was announced today that www.anchorage.net won an ‘Outstanding Website Award’ at the WMA’s (Web Marketing Association) 2007 WebAwards.

I designed this site working at my full-time job: Gere Donovan Creative. We’ve had Anchorage Convention & Visitors Bureau as a client for over a decade. This is the second award I’ve achieved working with this client. The previous version of the website won an ‘Outstanding Website Award’ at the Web Marketing Association in 2006.

I’ve added some recent work to my portfolio. First listed on the work page is Chugachmiut Corporation traditional Alutiiq albums. This is a series of seven, with the third about to be started. More to come on that later.

I’ve also added some work done while working at Gere Donovan Creative, one of my favorite clients Burkhart Croft Architects. I designed their new logo, color palette and identity guideline plus still in the works is their up coming website. We are shooting photos for that next week. Very exciting.

I’m working on collecting photography of people. Just something that I’ve been wanting to do. It takes a long time to go throug all my photos, but stay tuned for more.

We had the best trip ever. Just the right amount of people and the right amount of time alone. My props to the Scandinavian weather gods - you did extra good this year!

Grandmother watched Anouk for a weekend and Stephen and I got to be adults out - we acted more like teenagers though.
